The Heart of Sneh Arts Foundation
Born into a musically inclined family in Gujarat, Sunny’s journey with Indian classical music began with the tabla, shaping a lifelong passion for the arts. Moving to New York as a teenager expanded his artistic horizons, deepening his commitment to preserving and promoting his heritage.
After dedicating 20 years to treating and caring for cancer patients in the field of radiation therapy, Sunny has now taken on a new role as Clinical Coordinator and Faculty at Manhattan University’s Radiation Therapy program, where he continues to mentor and shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Alongside his medical career, Sunny has made a significant impact in the arts. As a cultural ambassador, through his company Sneh Arts, he has curated and presented numerous concerts, showcasing both celebrated maestros and emerging talents. His dedication earned him a citation from the New York City Council for his contributions to the arts.
Sunny also serves as the Artistic Director of Music for the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC), curating their music festival, further amplifying South Asian arts and culture. Visit IAAC at iaac.us.
Through Sneh Arts Foundation, he furthers this mission—offering a platform to both renowned and lesser-known artists, ensuring their work reaches new audiences on a global stage. Beyond performances, he is a strong advocate for arts education, believing in its power to preserve culture and inspire future generations. By fostering artistic exchange between India and the U.S., he continues to bridge worlds, making the richness of Indian classical, folk, and contemporary arts more accessible to all.
